Hafla Details!

Dinner:

We will be serving pizza and soft drinks for dinner.  Early registration will allow us to plan for enough food for everyone!

Please let us know if you require a vegetarian or vegan meal.

 

Performances:

All workshop participants are encouraged (but not required) to perform one  solo and/or one group dance--all styles and experience levels welcome!

--After registration, please contact Abida to get your name on the list of performers.

--Wear whatever type of costume you like!  Please don't feel like you have to get something fancy if you don't already have it.

--Once everyone who wishes to perform has had a chance, you may do a second number if you like.

 

 

Open dancing:

After the performances are finished, we will play some music and dance! 

Depending on how much time is left, Abida will lead everyone through the Raquy and the Cavemen dance that some of you already know.

 

 

 

 

We had first intended to sell hafla tickets to the public, so friends and family could watch the performance.  However, the maximum room capacity will not allow space for an audience this time.

 

We are planning a performance to benefit RAINN, the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, in April or May 2010.  This event will be held at a location big enough for as many people as we can find!  If you are interested in performing at this show, please let us know!
